FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW LONG ARE THE PRESENTATIONS?
Standard Appointment Sessions are scheduled in 90 MINUTE Bookings.
The "Navigating an Active Shooter Event" Presentations are typically 60 MINUTES long.
While it's very easy to spend significant amounts of time discussing this complex topic, we have found that 1 hour of comprehensive (yet concise and direct) instruction, satisfies our audience's concerns, without fatigue or over-complication.
Additionally, 30 MINUTES (or more) are included to engage attendees in further discussion and to allow them time for their own personal questions to be answered.
This 'Q&A Session' typically proves to be a valuable period of reassurance, as guests can benefit from articulating unaddressed interests and confidently gain supplemental understanding of peripheral aspects of these situations.
***There are Presentation Packages offered that can be longer or shorter in length, depending upon client needs.

HOW MUCH DOES A PRESENTATION COST?
There is no “One Size Fits All” solution.
Our Pricing Matrix is based on a variety of factors, (including but not limited to):
- How many attendees are anticipated?
- The Client Audience’s location (We proudly serve all U.S. States)
- The type of Presentation Package sought: "Standard, Executive Team, or Parent/Student"
- The number of Presentations requested:
Is it a 1-time Training? Or will there be a commitment to multiple or reoccurring Presentations?
Discounts:
Cost value improves significantly with the increase of the Client Audience size or if multiple or reoccurring Presentations are requested.
Standard Client Audience Sizes are priced accordingly:
Under>10 attendees
Under>19 attendees
20-25 attendees
26-30 attendees
31-35 attendees
36-40 attendees
Beyond 40 anticipated attendees, we suggest dividing into multiple Presentations.
For example, a Client with 200 anticipated attendees would book five, 40-guest Presentations.
***Individual Client resources/budget constrictions will be taken into consideration on a case by case basis.
***ASP will work with all potential partners to achieve a financially sensible plan, as we want you to have this critical information.

CA EMPLOYERS! ... DID YOU KNOW ABOUT YOUR LEGAL OBLIGATIONS?
In September 2023, Californa Senate Bill SB-553 was signed into law.
This legislation requires nearly all California employers to implement a workplace violence prevention plan by July 1, 2024. This groundbreaking legislation ushers in a new era of workplace safety and violence prevention.
In essence, SB 553 requires all California employers (with 10 or more employees on site) to develop a comprehensive written workplace violence prevention plan, provide tailored workplace violence prevention training, and maintain a log of violent incidents – all by July 1, 2024.
Companies that are not in compliance can be cited by the California Occupational Health and Safety Administration (Cal/OSHA), and violations will include civil penalties and misdemeanors.
The heart of SB 553 lies in the creation of a Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP). Key elements include:
- Identifying responsible personnel
- Involving employees in plan development
- Identifying, evaluating and correcting hazards
- Coordinating plan implementation
- Reporting incidents internally and to law enforcement
- Communicating effectively with employees
- Responding to workplace violence emergencies
- Training employees
- Strict recordkeeping guidelines
- Post-incident response and investigation
- Regular plan review and updates
- Procedures to ensure compliance with the WVPP
